Curbside Pickup and Book Delivery
Curbside Pickup for San Antonio Residents
During the time that the library building is closed we will be trialing a new curbside pickup service to allow students, faculty, and staff to request books and pick them up at the library at a designated time. At this time, only physical books can be requested.
To make a request, go to One Search on the library's homepage and locate the item you want to request. Click on the title and locate the Place Hold button midway down the page:
Once you click the button you will be asked to log in to your account. Once you are logged in, submit the Place Hold request:
Holds can be placed through Midnight on Thursday. On Friday, holds will be processed and prepared for pickup. Holds placed after midnight on Thursday will not be processed until the following week.
Pickup will take place outside of the library's 24 Hour Lab at parking Lot J on Mondays between 1-5pm. You will receive an email with detailed pickup instructions once your hold is ready.
Book Delivery for Online and Distance Students
Students living outside of Bexar County can request delivery of physical books from the library through Get It 4 Me. Only physical books owned by the library can be delivered at this time. We will not be able to borrow books owned by other libraries or scan copies of print journals or book chapters for you.
Fill out a request for the book on Get It 4 Me by Midnight on Thursday. Requests will be processed and mailed USPS on Fridays. Please allow up to 3-10 days for USPS delivery of the item. Requests submitted after midnight on Thursday will not be processed until the following week.
