Am I Eligible For a TexShare Card?
The following people are eligible to participate in TexShare:
OLLU Students (including Online/RGV/Houston students)
- OLLU Faculty
- OLLU Staff
- OLLU Sisters (CDP)
Note: You will be required to pay any outstanding charges on your account at Sueltenfuss Library before you can participate in TexShare.
How Do I Get a TexShare Card?
Stop by the Ask A Library desk at Sueltenfuss Library. An OLLU Librarian or staff member must sign the card to activate it.
Students living in Texas can email the library at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 1-800-846-4085 to request your TexShare Card. We will mail the card to your home address.
Houston and Rio Grande Vally Campuses
Contact the library at email@example.com or 1-800-846-4085 to request your TexShare Card and we will mail the card to your home address. Doctoral faculty may also have a limited number of cards available for distribution on-site.
Where Can I Use My TexShare Card?
You can use your TexShare Card at any Participating TexShare Library.
How Do I Use My TexShare Card?
Present your OLLU TexShare Card and a valid photo ID (OLLU ID, Texas Driver’s License, etc) at a participating TexShare library to check out materials. Return all materials on or before the due date to the library you borrowed them from, not to OLLU. You will be responsible for any late, damaged, or lost materials. You must agree to surrender your TexShare Card to TexShare library staff if requested.
Lending policies may vary from library to library. Check the Lending Policy of a participating TexShare library before you borrow.
When Will My TexShare Card Expire?
The expiration date will be written on your TexShare Card. When your TexShare Card expires, you must apply for a new card.
- OLLU Student TexShare Cards: Expire at the end of each school term
- OLLU Faculty and Staff TexShare Cards: Expire August 31st of each year
